Computer Club

This evening I put all my teaching experience into practice by volunteering at the local U3A (University of Third Age) computer club. My mum's a pretty long standing member of U3A and somehow manages to get herself roped into these kinds of activities (and apparently manages to rope me along too). Pretty encouraging to see old people getting involved with modern technology; one of them asked me where I got all my knowledge from, but I guess clicking the "To" button to add recipients to your email must be some kind of ingrained power stemming from growing up with a computer. So I helped with email attachments, designing an invitation card, making labels. The kinds of things old people want to do. I sort of had fun - and at least these students have powers of conversation too!
