Photobooks: a relatively cheap, time efficient, professional way of presenting photos without the hassle of prints, mounts and albums.
It is not so much the obsession with taking good photos as it is the sifting through and editing of mediocre photos - which happened to have the aid of favourable weather - and of course the making of the book itself, first involving trawling through half a dozen photo websites choosing the simplest user interface with the most sophisticated display options. Simon did this part.
Maybe one day I'll become obsessed enough to want to take good photos too.
